Alexander Markovics reviews Alexander Dugin’s book Politica Aeterna: Political Platonism & the Dark Enlightenment.
In essence, we are changing our ideology for the third time in 35 years. Until the early 1990s, society was under the dictatorship of Marxism-Leninism. This was obligatory, and (even if formally) everything was built upon it — politics, economics, science, education, and law. Everything, really.
Alexander Dugin contends that Russia’s current statehood is just a step in achieving Victory in Ukraine, a destiny that will fully realize Russia’s essence.
Alexander Dugin explores the concept of oikophobia, describing it as an irrational hatred of one’s own home, culture, and identity, manifesting in political disdain for patriotism and traditions.
Russia now has an ideology: traditional values and historical enlightenment. Additionally, it asserts Russia as a state-civilization (the Russian world) in the context of multipolarity. This establishes a vertical, unchanging axis.
The philosophy of multipolarity represents a fundamentally new approach to international politics, where there is no hegemon and no single system of universal values. Instead, it emphasizes the need to consider the philosophical foundations and traditional values of all civilizations involved in the process. The roundtable will include representatives of Western civilization who condemn and reject globalism, hegemony, and the unilateral dictatorship of the West.
"BRICS is a dialogue of cultures," while the West is still outside BRICS because it insists that there are no cultures and civilizations other than the Western one, Russian philosopher and political scientist Alexander Dugin said at SPIEF-2024.
As far as Eurasianism as a Political Movement - especially as a Resistance Movement within countries outside the immediate Eurasian Geopolitical Greater Area and especially within countries under direct Euro-Atlantic domination - there is a connection between Eurasian Geocratic Thought, cultural identity as determinant of the geopolitical camp, with Gramsci's thought of the cultural superstructure as determinant of political relations, Eurasianism as a geopolitical Gramscianism, and Carlo Terraciano's existential geopolitics.
To effectively confront the West in the war of civilisations that Russia is already waging, it is necessary to take into account the hierarchy of plans.
Let us try to describe one of the possible scenarios of further escalation in the Middle East.
The topic of the empire will inevitably come to the forefront. The term ‘state-civilisation’, introduced into scholarly discourse by our friend, the Chinese thinker Zhang Weiwei, essentially means ‘empire’.
The following has been excerpted from Ethnosociology: The Foundations (Arktos, 2019) by Alexander Dugin.
Text presented on the occasion of the First Latin American and Caribbean Conference on Multipolarity
The future remains a mystery, an open book that no one can read with certainty. The same can be said about the present and the past; our understanding of them is far from absolute, resulting in diverse interpretations. The future is even more uncertain, especially when considering the ongoing brutal and intimidating conflict we are experiencing now—a battle waged against the united forces of the West.
Many are beginning to realise that what is happening cannot be explained in any way by the analysis of national interests, economic trends or energy policy, territorial disputes or ethnic tensions. Almost all the experts who try to describe what is happening with the usual pre-war terms and concepts appear at least unconvincing and often simply stupid.
This is a direct reference to the Eurasian conception of Russian history. The Eurasianists were those Russian philosophers who drew attention to the fact that the destiny of Russia is, first of all, the destiny of the Russian people, who founded the power, created the culture, developed the language, but, at the same time, would be incomplete and imperfect if the other nations did not tie their destinies to the Russian people.
We come to a third concept, crucial for understanding the transition from a unipolar to a multipolar world and the place of the BRICS countries in this process. We are talking about the concept of the civilisation-state. This idea has been formulated by Chinese scholars (in particular by Professor Zhang Weiwei) and most often the concept of the civilisation-state is applied to modern China and then by analogy to Russia, India, etc. In the Russian context, a similar theory was put forward by the Eurasians, who proposed the concept of the Peace-State. Actually, in that trend, Russia was understood as a civilisation, not just one of the countries, hence the main Eurasian concept - Russia-Eurasia.
Let us now turn to a different theory: the 'world-system analysis' constructed by Immanuel Wallerstein. Wallerstein, an exponent of the Marxist school of International Relations (especially in its Trotskyist interpretation), on the basis of the doctrine of "the long run" (F. Braudel) and the Latin American theorists of structural economics (R. Prebisch, S. Furtado), developed a model of world zoning according to the level of development of capitalism.
25 of May is Dante's birthday. But in the West, they don't celebrate it anymore.
Today it is simply dangerous. How so, you ask? Dante is the symbol of Western poetry, the world-famous classic. Yes, that's right. But even this Italian medieval genius was not spared by the guillotine of political correctness.
When the Divine Comedy fell into the hands of rabid human rights advocates, liberals and globalists, they discovered that Dante's work was politically incorrect. And that was it. No Dante anymore. He has become yet another victim of the liberal culture cleansing. His works can now only be printed with excerpts and disclaimer of “non politically correct content inside”.
This is why; we Eurasianists are in open rebellion against the so-called Great Reset because we believe that it is time for the Great Awakening as Philosopher Alexandr Dugin said. The liberal order is under severe crisis in the face of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Nonetheless, the fact cannot be denied that the sudden upsurge of the COVID-19 pandemic has exposed the fragile socio-political and economic models of the liberal world order. Consequently, under the guise of the ongoing Pandemic, the liberal pundits such as Klaus Schwab (COVID-19: The Great Reset) and George Soros (Open Society) are attempting to hide the failure and crisis of the liberal world order. As Klaus Schwab in his propaganda pamphlet "About COVID-19: The Great Reset" ambiguously claims that "COVID-19 is not going to end anytime soon; hence we must learn to live with it". This clearly illustrates that the corporate liberal pundits are trying to design a new grand reset strategy to save the liberal world order. Unfortunately, this time; it won't be successful because the ordinary masses are well aware about the superficiality of the liberal modernity and its cherished ideologies.
ow we can easily observe that global world order is in decay. Globalism is collapsing. We see, for example, a real agony in the Unites States. The threat of President Trump — who is much more moderated in regards to the global liberal agenda — is experienced by globalists as something fatal, something existential. Globalists are trying to destroy the United States in order to promote their candidate, to save their agenda at any price.
The Great Awakening is a flash of consciousness at the threshold of the Singularity. It is the last opportunity to make an alternative decision about the content and direction of the future. The complete replacement of human beings with new entities, new divinities, cannot simply be imposed by force from above. The elites must seduce humanity, obtain from it - albeit vaguely - some consent. The Great Awakening calls for a decisive “No”!
This is not yet the end of the war, not even the war itself. Moreover, it has not yet begun. But it is the possibility of such a beginning. A New Beginning in the History of Man.
Ungern gradually devised a desperate geopolitical plan to create a unique zone in Asia, or more precisely in Mongolia, free from both Bolshevik influence and the troops of the profane West. It would be a unique world in which the ancient laws of the Sacred Tradition would be in force. Ungern was familiar with the books of Saint-Yves d’Alveydre, and knew of the existence of the secret, underground country of Agarttha, where the laws of time are not in effect and where the King of the World, the Chakravarti, resides. Like the Knights Templar, who not only guarded European pilgrims from the Saracens, but also protected the great mysteries of spiritual knowledge from degenerate Catholicism and the secularizing French monarchy, Ungern aimed to create a special zone between the shrines of Tibet, where according to legend lies the entrance to Agarttha, and the rest of the world.
